Give a Hoot!
I just finished making these little favours for the Brides for the Cure Team! The team ended up being huge this year with over 150 members. I am so thrilled to be a part of this! I wanted send the team members away with a little token of appreciation from Something Old Something New and so I made these little treat bags with the CUTEST Breast Cancer Owl! (and I have to give credit to my mom for helping me come up with the idea for these :-) )

Packaged up to mail to the team captain!

Feather Love
I came across Feather Love Photography over the weekend and was blown away with the beautiful images I saw. There were so many great images that I had a hard time choosing just a few to share. No worries though! Hop on over to Noa's blog for more eye candy! Below are photos from two different engagement sessions shot by the oh so talented Noa!

And the next two capture an adorable couple in their sweet home with their too cute dog!
The first two capture a stunning couple with a 60's/vintage/French new wave style vibe.....

Perfect Imperfections
I loved the Wedding Special on the Martha Show this morning. Vera Wang showed off some of her gorgeous dresses from the Spring 2010 line. She explained the idea behind the collection was a sort of light, feminine "washing machine" look in which the details like raw-edged organza and asymmetry were meant to looked unplanned, yet brilliantly perfect! Clearly the ball gown silhouette we have been seeing making a come back is evident in her line, yet it is a lighter- weight, less stiff version of the classic ball gown. Truly romantic and feminine!

Love this pop of color! This would be great for a garden wedding! Check out In Style to see the pictures of this collection from Vera's New York Fashion Show.

Lately I have become increasingly interested and inspired by fashion photography. British photographer Tim Walker has quickly become my newest obsession! His amazingly designed photographic sets for high end fashion designers such as Dior, Hermes and Juicy Couture capture beautifully surreal moments in time and express a captivating feel of romance and drama. Short Stack
I am loving the elegant simplicity of these two, even one tier cakes.

A small cake could work for intimate affairs where you have a small number of guests. If your wedding is large, you can still have a beautifully decorated smaller cake on display and for cutting; simply have a larger sheet cake in the back for serving. By "going low" you save $$ because typically the more tiers.....the more labor.....the more expensive the cake!

Rise to the occasion
Balloons are popping up everywhere on the web lately, proving these latex lovelies are no longer strictly child's play. If someone were to tell me that balloons could be chic decor for weddings, I would have laughed, but these fantastic images have me seriously second guessing.......
When planned and executed properly balloons could be a cost efficient and chic way to fill up space and add a bit of whimsy to your wedding. To keep things "grown up" choose simple color schemes.

Now, check out this fun escort card idea blogged about at 100 Layer Cake.

Inspired by a window display from the always impressive Anthropologie, comes a simple and fun way to escort guests!
