I am going to be sharing this e-session in further detail on the Recollection blog, but I thought I would post it here as well because I just love it! Recollection was fortunate to work with the most delightful couple and the amazing Laurie Perez! I just love how these pictures capture the most perfect summer rendezvous! Friday Sweets: Cowgirl Cookies

Here is a simple and adorable DIY gift spotted on BakerellaThe recipe consists of tradition oats, chocolate chips, and pecans but adding the pink m&ms just makes them so fab!
So, here is the recipe ( from Bakerella's site)
    Cowgirl Cookies
1 1/3 cup all purpose flour, spooned into measuring cup & leveled
    1 teaspoon baking powder
    1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt1 cup cooking oats
    3/4 cup m&ms3/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
    1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
    1/2 cup white sugar
    1/3 - 1/2 cup chopped pecans
Stir all the dry ingredients in a large mixing bowl.

    Add
    1 slightly beaten egg
1/2 cup butter (melted slightly in the microwave)
    1 teaspoon vanilla.

Mix wet ingredients into dry ingredients. Use the back of a large spoon to work it all together. You may even need to use your hands to get everything incorporated. Then roll the cookie dough into 1 1/2 inch balls, place on a parchment covered baking sheet and bake for about 10 minutes in a preheated 350 degree oven.

    Friday Sweets: Little Miss Cupcake!

Last weekend was the first ever Bake for Hope Sale in Houston, TX. My little sister loves to bake and has been making her famous cupcakes for family and friends for awhile now. She decided to donate her goodies for this cause and they turned out fabulous! She even has the cutest name and slogan! Here are some pictures below:
This one is my favorite! (Could it be the color?)
    yum....Carrot Cake!

The event was a huge success in its first year raising 900.00! Thanks Sugarbabys for sponsoring this event!

Little Miss Cupcakes is currently working on a website but if you are in the Houston/Cypress area contact Jennifer at: little_miss.cupcake.@yahoo.com! She makes cupcakes and decorated cookies and can customize to your event's theme. Trust me...you don't want to MISS these!
