"The Notebook" Inspired Engagement Shoot

I am so in love with this engagement session inspired and styled after the movie The Notebook. I love that movie and think it is incredibly romantic!

We chose the movie The Notebook as inspiration for our engagement photo shoot for a few reasons. For one, Jean-Nicola’s late grandparents had Alzheimer’s disease and this movie touched close to home. Also, the chemistry of the young lovers in the movie was intense! And the era is very alluring to us- the fashion and way of life. We hope that our love endures all that life will throw at us, much like Noah and Allie. (exert from the bride via Green Wedding Shoes)

Today, I celebrate my twenty-sixth birthday. My darling husband gave me the most beautiful necklace this morning and we are celebrating with a yummy dinner tonight! I don't have a beautiful cake like the one above, but hey, a girl can't have everything!

Sugary Pink Goodness

This yummy post got me thinking......Can you ever really get enough pink? I, for one, LOVE pink, and all of it's girlish glory! I love yummy pink confections. I love plush pink sofas. I love pink frilly frocks. And why not pink books? Am I crazy, or do you love it too?!

Happy Weekend + Brrrrrrr

This pretty much sums up my entire last week....minus the snow! With highs in the teens all week, this Arctic blast was quite a shock to me, coming from Texas where it may get below freezing once a year. I did my best to stay warm, even while having to take a puppy out a gazillion times a day to potty train! Hopefully this week will bring warmer temperatures.....pretty please?

I have been staring at this magical photo all evening. I can't get over the dream like quality and pastel yumminess.I have had a few other pretty horsies saved in my files for awhile and thought this was a fitting time to bring em out. I think horses are such mystical creatures. I love to look at them

Maybe if I ever have a lot of land I can get a horse. I am sure my dogs would love it...
