    Give a Hoot!

I just finished making these little favours for the Brides for the Cure Team! The team ended up being huge this year with over 150 members. I am so thrilled to be a part of this! I wanted send the team members away with a little token of appreciation from Something Old Something New and so I made these little treat bags with the CUTEST Breast Cancer Owl! (and I have to give credit to my mom for helping me come up with the idea for these :-) )

Packaged up to mail to the team captain!

    Feather Love

I came across Feather Love Photography over the weekend and was blown away with the beautiful images I saw. There were so many great images that I had a hard time choosing just a few to share. No worries though! Hop on over to Noa's blog for more eye candy! Below are photos from two different engagement sessions shot by the oh so talented Noa!

The first two capture a stunning couple with a 60's/vintage/French new wave style vibe.....
And the next two capture an adorable couple in their sweet home with their too cute dog!

    Pretty Pastels + Garden Gala

Ok, so the last few days I have been obsessed with inspiration boards.... and while I don't ever expect to measure up to the likes of Snippet and Ink (ridiculously fab color and theme boards) I do enjoy them nonetheless! This one I created around this amazing vintage garden bouquet seen on Martha Stewart Weddings. I thought it looked nice with our tea party favour box.

    Perfect Imperfections

I loved the Wedding Special on the Martha Show this morning. Vera Wang showed off some of her gorgeous dresses from the Spring 2010 line. She explained the idea behind the collection was a sort of light, feminine "washing machine" look in which the details like raw-edged organza and asymmetry were meant to looked unplanned, yet brilliantly perfect! Clearly the ball gown silhouette we have been seeing making a come back is evident in her line, yet it is a lighter- weight, less stiff version of the classic ball gown. Truly romantic and feminine!

Love this pop of color! This would be great for a garden wedding! Check out In Style to see the pictures of this collection from Vera's New York Fashion Show.

    Aqua + Olive

Love this unexpected yet perfectly suited color scheme of aqua, green, and hints of pale blue and yellow. This wedding is featured in the newest issue of Martha Stewart Weddings and has certainly made the blog circuit. Still, I couldn't help but posting this amazing eye candy here to share with you! How about a Sparty?

I am probably way late on this but I just came across this super hip nail spa that opened in Houston August 08. With an ambiance inspired by the famed layered Neapolitan ice cream, Bliss Nail Spa is the first ever Houston Spa to offer the luxury of sipping cocktails with any service! This super chic modern environment is the ideal place for Bridal SPArties! Sip on their signature Blisstinis, watch runway news from plasmas, and relax while you and your bridal crew get pampered! This place is too much fun. Make sure to stop by for Mimosa and Mani Sundays.

    Short Stack

I am loving the elegant simplicity of these two, even one tier cakes.
A small cake could work for intimate affairs where you have a small number of guests. If your wedding is large, you can still have a beautifully decorated smaller cake on display and for cutting; simply have a larger sheet cake in the back for serving. By "going low" you save $$ because typically the more tiers.....the more labor.....the more expensive the cake!

    Rise to the occasion

Balloons are popping up everywhere on the web lately, proving these latex lovelies are no longer strictly child's play. If someone were to tell me that balloons could be chic decor for weddings, I would have laughed, but these fantastic images have me seriously second guessing....... When planned and executed properly balloons could be a cost efficient and chic way to fill up space and add a bit of whimsy to your wedding. To keep things "grown up" choose simple color schemes.
Now, check out this fun escort card idea blogged about at 100 Layer Cake.
Inspired by a window display from the always impressive Anthropologie, comes a simple and fun way to escort guests!
