A French Bohemian Wedding in Spring, TX
My friend Leslie sent me a link to her sister's college roommate's wedding and all I can say is WOW! I especially love it because it took place at Oak Manor in Spring, Texas near my hometown :-)

The bride and groom's love of French, Bohemianism and Artistry inspired the theme of this beautiful celebration. Their love of cafes, and even the Groom's study of birds were Incorporated into the details! The bride also hand painted the invitations and table signs.

The photography is just stunning! So many magical shots.

Vintage Backyard Wedding
This fabulous wedding being featured today on Green Wedding Shoes is a must share! With so many DIY details one can't help but be inspired!
From the Bride: I started out with like a 1940’s theme because I love that music and era and then it sort of ended up just being everything that I love shoved into one backyard. I wanted it to have a backyard kind of cute bed and breakfast feel. It did have a lot of 1940’s themed things but it was subtle and I don’t think people knew the era. So, I guess I could call it a real vintage backyard wedding (most of the stuff really was old).
My favorite aspect is probably this awesome sofa that served as lounge seating for guests and the perfect photo backdrop
Old hanging windows is such a fun way to incorporate vintage details and add dimension! I also love the mismatched vintage chairs at the head table
A soda bar is perfect beverage choice for a backyard wedding!
These are just a few of my favorite details, but there is so much more to be seen! Hop on over to GWS for the full wedding.

PS. This wedding was planned in 3 months and on a low budget! That amazes me.

Up, Up, and Away: A Carter and Cook Wedding
Aaah! This darling, whimsical wedding just makes me smile! Mix a super cute and creative couple, with California's amazing event company Carter and Cook, throw in the best floral designers and photographers, and you have the most remarkable celebration! Oh, and did I mention it has the cutest theme ever: Up, up and away!

The Bridesmaids all wore Anthropologie dresses and carried heart-shaped balloons down the aisle in lieu of bouquets. So clever!
This is such a darling shot!
The couple had a candy buffet along with a sweets buffet with Red Velvet cupcakes and colorful hot air balloon cookies
The groom handmade an adoarble hot air balloon pinata which hung from one of the many fabric pendants that adorned the venue.

Dan and Joy's Spring Wedding
Over the weekend I had the pleasure of traveling to Houston for my husband's cousin's wedding. It was an unexpectedly cold Spring day with temperatures in the 40's, but luckily everything was indoors and turned out just beautiful!

My favorite part of the wedding was the Chinese Tea Ceremony. The Tea Ceremony is traditional practice used to introduce the newlyweds to each other's family, and is a way for the couple to show respect and appreciation to their parents. The newlyweds bow in front of their parents, serving tea to both side of parents, as well as elder close relatives. Parents give their words of blessing and gifts to the newlyweds in a red envelope. It was so heartfelt and fun to watch.
Fun fun times!

The five bridesmaids wore dresses all made from the same fabric but styled to fit their own tastes. I love this idea and the result was stunning!

The couple had their ceremony in the beautiful LDS temple and a ring ceremony at Champions Golf Club.

Peaches N' Cream
This peaches & cream birthday party that Jessica Levitt designed for her daughter's fifth birthday party is so jam packed with fresh colors and yummy details that I had to share it! I also think many of these adorable details could totally work for an outdoor, farm inspired wedding.
Farm baskets with peach patterned fabric liners were used for guests to pick fresh peaches. Pre-filled baskets of peaches would be the sweetest wedding favor!!
These days, when pratically any space can be transformed into an instant perfect wedding venue, a farm could be just the ticket for a spring wedding. Alstede Farm served as the backdrop for this event.
Fabric punting is always a sweet decor choice! And of course a delicious spread goodies, tasty to the eye and tummy!

Peach + Gray = A perfect marriage
I have a new and very unexpected color crush. We already know gray is hot hot hot. But, who knew it would pair so brilliantly with peach? Use a pale gray and soft peaches for a perfect vintage, romantic feel.

A Wonderful Table Number
Good morning lovelies! You may have seen this gorgeous wedding on 100LC last week. This is my favorite element from it: a lovely screen printed burlap wine bag table number. It fits in with the "Modern Romance" table setting beautifully! For sale here!

Dare to be bold
Over the last year I have seen a movement of brides really stepping outside of the traditional wedding guidelines and truly tailoring their big day to their own personal style, and I love it!
2010 is all about bold vibrant colors, so if your faves are hot pink and green such as this bride, go for it!
I love that the bride and grooms attire completely reflect their personal style (and they are both very stylish!)
And I have to mention how etsy totally rocked it again! Can you believe the bride's dress is a vintage find from this etsy shop? I am smitten!
