    Vintage Backyard Wedding

    This fabulous wedding being featured today on Green Wedding Shoes is a must share! With so many DIY details one can't help but be inspired!

    From the Bride: I started out with like a 1940’s theme because I love that music and era and then it sort of ended up just being everything that I love shoved into one backyard. I wanted it to have a backyard kind of cute bed and breakfast feel. It did have a lot of 1940’s themed things but it was subtle and I don’t think people knew the era. So, I guess I could call it a real vintage backyard wedding (most of the stuff really was old).
    My favorite aspect is probably this awesome sofa that served as lounge seating for guests and the perfect photo backdrop
    Old hanging windows is such a fun way to incorporate vintage details and add dimension! I also love the mismatched vintage chairs at the head tableA soda bar is perfect beverage choice for a backyard wedding!
    These are just a few of my favorite details, but there is so much more to be seen! Hop on over to GWS for the full wedding.
    PS. This wedding was planned in 3 months and on a low budget! That amazes me.

    DIY Fabric Invitation

    I am so giddy over this sweet little fabric invitation. Discovered via The Wedding Chicks, this clever little tutorial was designed by Paper and Thread Studios, and is super quick and easy. Oh, and it is ridiculously cute!Here is what you will need: fabric with a large print that you can easily cut out, Elmer's glue, fabric scissors, and A7 flat cards that you can purchase online or at most craft stores.
    Design your invite in any word program, making sure to justify all text to the right. Next, cut out a large graphic from your pretty fabric. Gently rub glue on the back of the fabric and press into place on your invite. And there you have it, a simple, affordable and adorable invite perfect for bridal showers or baby showers!{images via the Wedding Chicks}
