Ceremony

The ceremony was underneath a clear walled tent that extended off of the villa. It was slighty heated but still very chilly. We had blankets on each chair that were wrapped up with a sign that read "Snuggle Up, Baby it's cold outside"

Everyone was very thankful to have the blankets to keepy warm during the ceremony and throughout the rest of the night.

I'm back!

The last few weeks have been absolutely amazing. Matt and I's wedding was absolutely gorgeous despite the last minute layout changes due to freezing cold weather and rain! I have some pictures that I am going to be posting. This first one above is of our favor. I wish you could see it better. It is the print of the painting of Laguna Gloria (our venue) displayed on a mini easel. Eveyone really loved their gift which made me so glad. I really wanted to give a favor that my guests would want to keep and cherish.

Painting is ready!

Our painting is complete and it looks fabulous! We are going to be receiving the favour size prints via Daphne and Clio next week just in time to put the favours together! The prints will be 4 X 5 and displayed on mini easels.

Cupcake and Candy Wrappers

These dainty cupcake wrappers are sooo pretty! They really dress up a simple cupcake. I think that they would work well for holding other sweets too.

I love the idea of reusable shopping bags (check out this site for the benefits). These Reisenthel European Market Totes are so great because they are sturdy, durable and adorable!. I bought one a few weeks ago, and I am loving it. I think it is a really good bridesmaid idea as well!

Here are some more pictures from Christine of a fun favour we did over the summer for a Scottish couple. These delightful scottie dog favour boxes are filled with black licorice scotties sealed in red vellum with a scottie sticker!

Keep Me Sweet!

Today I went to the most wonderful place! Sugar Baby's Cupcake Boutique is Houston's original cupcake specialty shop offering tasty indulgences in the most adorable atmosphere! It is a fairytale come true! In addition to the delicious treats they offer non-edible gits such as platters and other serving pieces and also offer a fabulous private party room perfect for hosting showers and parties. In fact, my sister is throwing me a lingerie shower there in a few weeks!!

Austin Rocks

We just received some great pictures of our gifts and favours compliments of Christine Tremoulet Photography. Over the next few days I will post images of some of our custom wedding favour designs. Above is a welcome box that we created for my destination wedding in Austin, TX. The outside of the box is our basic design but the goodies inside are customized to Austin.

Their Art, Your Story.

I came across this company on Etsy a few weeks ago. Still searching for the perfect favor to compliment my art inspired wedding reception, I couldn't believe how perfect this idea was! Daphne and Clio is a company based out of Austin Texas that offers exclusive artwork in gift and favor size prints. They have a beautiful selection of artwork by very gifted artists. Their artists also accept custom assignments. Shannon Harris has accepted the assigment to paint Laguna Gloria (my wedding venue) and I am so thrilled! I will keep the orignal as a beautiful reminder of our wedding day, and display favor size prints on miniature easels on the guest tables. I can't wait to see the painting when Shannon is finished. I will be sure to share it with you!

Laguna Gloria

Over the next few weeks I am going to be posting about my upcoming wedding in November! I have added some pictures of my wedding venue above. It is a goregous historical owned by the Austin Meseum of Art. The wedding will take place mostly on the lush lake-view grounds of the villa.

I guess I should start by giving you a little info about myself. I am Ashley DePierri of Something Old Something New Wedding Designs, a Houston based cutom favour and gift company. My mother and I started this company a little over a year ago after many years of creating wedding and party favors for friends and family members! We were loving the fun we were having creating unique guest gifts as well as the time we were able to spend together working on projects. We decided to embark on it as a true business endeavor and we couldn't be more pleased with the results!

We now offer customized guest favours, welcome boxes, attendant's gifts, and much more. We strive to combine traditional wedding elements with contemporary appeal. We work with each bride to design favours and gifts that truly reflect their personal style, celebrate their cultural heritage, or accent a theme.
