DIY Victorian Favor Bag
When Paula from the Knot contacted Something Old Something New to create a DIY favor for her new blog I was ecstatic! Her blog, My DIY Wedding Day is chalk full of lovely DIY projects for you crafty brides!
2 3/4" x 4" cotton muslin drawstring bags (find them in bulk at Celestial Gifts on Etsy)
Rubber stamp with image of your choice (this one was customized by The Paper Princess)
Scrap of poster board or thick cardstock
Ink
Ribbon
Treats, birdseed, or whatever else you'd like to fill the bags with
Pretty embellishments (we used a vintage-ish velvet flower)
Step 1: Slip a piece of poster board or cardstock inside a muslin bag. This will keep the ink from bleeding through to the other side when you stamp.
Step 2: Stamp your image on the bag.
Step 3: Fill with your favors. Sweet treats work well for this project. You can also fill the bags with birdseed, eco-friendly confetti or something else for guests to throw at you and your partner as you exit the ceremony.
Step 4: Embellish with ribbon, flowers or whatever else you'd like.
Check out this project and more at My DIY Wedding Day!

Bake for Hope Part 2
Here are some terrific pictures from the Bake for Hope Sale at Sugar Babys. Everything looks so cute! Jennifer aka "Little Miss Cupcakes" treats (above) look great!
Shabby Shells
Spotted these pretty shells at such pretty things earlier today. How perfect would these be for a shabby chic seaside weddding? They would be so easy to make: buy shells, pretty pastel paint, and glitter from craft store and get to work!
Fig + Sage
This is my second entry into the My Island Wedding Inspiration Board Contest. It is very similar to my own wedding; however, my colors were eggplant and sage. I really love how these colors and textures give this board a very natural, elegant, organic feel.
Check out the entries over at My Island Wedding. There are so great boards. I am going to enter my sunshine one as well. Voting starts tomorrow :-)

Friday Sweets: Little Miss Cupcake!
Last weekend was the first ever Bake for Hope Sale in Houston, TX. My little sister loves to bake and has been making her famous cupcakes for family and friends for awhile now. She decided to donate her goodies for this cause and they turned out fabulous! She even has the cutest name and slogan! Here are some pictures below: yum....Carrot Cake!
This one is my favorite! (Could it be the color?)
The event was a huge success in its first year raising 900.00! Thanks Sugarbabys for sponsoring this event!
Little Miss Cupcakes is currently working on a website but if you are in the Houston/Cypress area contact Jennifer at: little_miss.cupcake.@yahoo.com! She makes cupcakes and decorated cookies and can customize to your event's theme. Trust me...you don't want to MISS these!

Hello Sunshine
Oh how I love the sun! We have had nothing but dreadful, rainy weather here the last week. When I saw his sun goddess I longed to bask in the sun....but I am stuck inside instead.... and so I have created a bright, sunny, lemony goodness inspiration board to cure me of my sun deprivation
